Ming, I'm hoping you are still with Microsoft. I found posts reguarding the availability of a 64-bit msdasql.dll driver being release in 2007, however I have been unable to locate it. Could you please let me know if it has been released yet, and if so, how I can get it? Under Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2, we're migrating 2000 systems with iSeries linked servers. Without this driver, we cannot migrate. Also, if it hasn't been released yet, would you possibly know when it will become available? Thanks, Paul. Download All Windows 7 DriversI am using Windows 7 (x64bit) Ultimate. I have both ODBC32 and ODBC64 Managers that I can access via Start. The default appears to be the ODBC64. However I do not see MSDASQL -Microsoft OLEDB for. Microsoft Windows 7 Drivers DownloadYes, I know there are several ways to handle reading and writing to text and excel files. But I have found OPENROWSET extremely handy for incorporating into SQL Server stored procedures. When I moved to 64bit platform, life got more complicated and I have to keep a 32bit utility database around for that purpose. Certainly, BULK INSERT works for 'importing' text files. But it doesn't allow me to update Excel documents like OPENROWSET does. With all the 'hope and change' being promised lately, I was hoping things had changed as far as 64bit providers. I'm really not very fond of 64bit computing right now. ![]() Thanks for your response. It is my recollection that a Linked Server (LS) has the same issues as OPENROWSET (OR) since, I thought, it used the same provider. But I could be wrong and will revisit that option. If I have a LS set up, there would be no need for OR(); I could just execute queries against the database connection. Nice, once the LS is set up, but there is the problem in that I typically work with a lot of one-time text files and worksheets. The whole point is that OR() works conveniently with type of distributed queries I commonly use. I often need to open, read, and edit many small transient text files or Excel worksheets. In our grayscale examines the GT-2500 warranted a score of Excellent; although its text was clear and readable, some of the subtle details in line art and various other graphics weren't fairly also defined as in the original record. It usually reproduced exact shade, although whites as well as yellows looked simply a tad duller compared to what higher-rated models generated. Unlike portable sheet-fed scanners that are developed extra for specific users, the GT-2500 is meant to work as a workstation for small companies as well as workgroups that call for adaptability. Epson gt 2500 software. XLS and CSV are common formats for output files from scientific lab instruments. As far as T-SQL goes, OR() is much more desirable than all that creating and destroying LSs. Driver 2 (disc 2) (v1.1) sony playstation rom. LS is good if one needs to querying a source many times. OR() is better if I need to query many sources only once. I realize that most 'good' programmers would handle this stuff in the.NET world. But it has been working for me so well before 64bit entered my life. I get the feeling that Microsoft would port a provider if there were a groundswell of complaints and, I guess, that just hasn't happened. Thanks for you comments.
